Here’s a bit of a long post RE: Patrick’s life but…

Can we all agree not to talk too much about William? I realize we love him because he’s sweet and helpful and he’s ever present at gigs but. he’s not an actual celebrity and he didn’t ask for this. He doesn’t deserve stalking or hate mail (God, why would anyone be so cruel?) or judgment. And I know that, because we like him, it sometimes feels okay to make silly jokes about him - like he was a friend - but he’s not our friend, he’s a total stranger, so it’s not okay at all. And today a passing comment that was meant as nothing but positive really hurt Patrick, upset him in his partner’s honor, so I think we should just sort of let private things stay private. It’s very easy, as fans, to blur that line because Patrick is so especially kind and so open to talking to us but his private life isn’t for all of us.

So, this isn’t meant as a command, but a request, can we all just let off talking about William? Like I said, I’m guilty too because I think he’s a great person! But it really isn’t our place, no matter how happy we are for them both, to talk about personal things in public spaces.
